Enjoy the house

Guests can sit in comfort outside under the veranda. Downstairs there is a large formal lounge and dining room exclusively for guest use.

The lounge has a 12-point chandelier and big wingback chairs. For the cooler months the large fire will be lit every afternoon. On the warmer days it's a beautiful cool space to relax, read or sip a glass of wine. Something sweet is available in the evening. The dining room has a small fridge for any wine purchases. Also stocked with milk, plunger coffee and water.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 8.00am and 9:00am in the dining room. Earlier breakfast, times offered by prior arrangement. Water, tea and coffee are available in this room at other times. Guests are also welcome to use any glassware and crockery during their stay. Special dietary requirements for breakfast can be catered for with 5 days' notice.

Breakfast consists of muesli, toast, tinned fruit, yogurt, jams, butter, spreads, tea, organic plunger coffee, orange juice and milk. A cooked breakfast is also available consisting of bacon and free-range eggs.

Dinner

Dinner is available as a set menue for 2 courses at $55 or 3 courses at $65. Entree is a cheese platter served in the lounge and is the first course in the three course option. Dinner is home style cooking, simple and tasty. Available with five days proir notice & one meal option between couple or group.

Main Course

Mild chicken Curry with onion, capsicum and green beans. Served with rice.

Chicken Korma with onion, carrot and green beans. Served with rice.

Beef and Red wine Casserole with onion, carrot and celery.

Served with mashed potato.

Garlic & Herb Lamb Shanks with carrot, celery and tomato.

Served with mashed potato.

Rack of Lamb with sweet potato mash, peas and broccoli (GF option)

Roast Pork with mashed potato and vegetables (GF option)

Dessert

Sourced from the local Lawrence Mint chocolate shop we serve a selection of tarts which can include; spiced apple and almond, banoffee, salted caramel, chocolate and cherry, apple and custard. Vanilla slice is another option. We select whats fresh on the day but let us know if you have a favourite.

Alternativly there is a resturant and a pub in Lawrence and we are happy to book either of these for you. Go to www.lawrence.co.nz for dining options. It is always better to book to make sure your time and day is available.

There is a small selection of New Zealand and Australian wine which can be purchased to enjoy during your stay.

Parking

There is off-street parking available for two vehicles at the back of the property, enter via Ailsa Street and its the first driveway on the left. Just keep in mind there are steps from the garden to the front door and 21 steps to the rooms upstairs so guests need to be comfortable with stairs.
